Watch Archbishop of Burundi give evidence to UK Government

The Anglican Archbishop of Burundi, The Most Rev Bernard Ntahoturi, will be addressing the International Development Select Committee of the UK Parliament today – Tuesday.

The Committee are reviewing a recent decision to withdraw all bilateral aid to Burundi, until now the poorest country that the UK funds. 

Archbishop Ntahoturi, who has a wealth of experience in international development work, has been asked to provide an expert opinion on the likely consequences of withdrawing aid. His visit to the UK has been facilitated by the Anglican Alliance for Development, Relief and Advocacy, which brings together the Anglican family of churches and agencies on these issues.
